Heyyyy! I’m Ayo Janeen Jackson raised in the South, currently living in Brooklyn, NY. I am an artist, former award-winning dancer, and the founder of Don’t B. Ashy.

This brand was born during a hard moment, when the world felt unstable and heavy. In the middle of it all, my grandmother said, Come on—we’re going outside to plant a garden. She taught me that care is what you do in the midst of upheaval, not after it passes.

I was trained to take my body seriously. So when my skin needed help (and my spirit did too) I did what Black folks have always done: I healed through humor and ritual. I blended shea butter, called it Don’t B. Ashy, and kept it moving.

Each jar is handcrafted in small batches, rooted in Southern heritage. Don’t B. Ashy is more than skincare.
It’s a way of tending to the body and a quiet form of repair for the story we carry with us.

Because sometimes protection looks like laughter.
And sometimes healing starts with moisture.
